On December 4, 2025, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation at the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Kshetrigao, Imphal East, Manipur. The session was led by Mr Victor Rajkumar, Program Executive, and supported by Ms Moirangthem Priya, Program Executive, MOHAN Foundation, Imphal.
Organised as part of the UPHC’s Immunization initiative, the program was coordinated with Mrs Premlata, Nurse In Charge.
Mr Victor introduced the concept and importance of organ donation, explaining the difference between living and deceased donation. He emphasised the lifesaving potential of organ donation and its impact on improving the quality of life of patients in need. He also clarified that the buying and selling of organs is a punishable offence under the law. Addressing common myths, he explained that all major religions support organ donation and reassured participants that cornea donation does not cause any disfigurement to the deceased.
To conclude the session, informational pamphlets were distributed to help participants continue learning about organ donation. Close to 15 participants attended the session and gained meaningful insights into the subject.
