Awareness Session on Eye Donation at Primary Health Centre, Tarapur

  • On November 26, 2025, MOHAN Foundation’s Prachiti Mali was invited by Primary Health Centre, Tarapur to conduct an awareness session for the general public and ASHA workers.

    During the session, Prachiti Mali explained the key concepts of eye donation, corneal blindness, precautions, causes, and the age criteria for donation. She also discussed the legal aspects related to eye donation and addressed several common myths.

    A total of 78 participants attended the session, including members of the general public and ASHA workers. Seven people pledged to donate their eyes. Some of the queries raised during the interaction included:

    What is the cornea?
