State organ transplant authority Transtans message three months ago to all hospitals to ensure organs are not alloted to foreign patients overlooking Indians has resulted in relatives of brain-dead patients in the state being asked to register whether they want to donate the organs only to Indians. This has upset senior transplant surgeons across hospitals, who say no foreign patient has been alloted an organ in the last four months even when an Indian cant be found.
