MOHAN Foundation, Hyderabad was invited by organizing committee of Elders Mela’12 to set up the stall on Organ donation and explain people the procedures to get registered for being an organ donor. The Elders Mela was organized by HelpAge India, GHMC Aasara and other senior citizens association to mark International day for elderly (oct 1st), which took place at zorastrian club, Secunderabad from 2nd to 4th October 2012. The Mela had many stalls from retirement consultancies, Physio care units and different hospitals for conducting free or subsidized medical camp. The Senior citizens and other delegates keenly came forward to get information about organ donation and took donor card. Some took additional donor cards for their family members, friends and old age home mates. Nearly 600 donor cards were signed up. We were invited by many organizations to give talk on organ donation in their monthly meeting as it can benefit many.
