On 19th November 2022, Transplants Help The Poor Foundation and ICICI Foundation organized a webinar on organ donation for ICICI Academy students (1stBatch). Mr. Shrikant Kale - Center Head of this academy coordinated with Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi to conduct this webinar.
Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi was the speaker for the day. She addressed the gathering and introduced MOHAN Foundation and its activities to the audience and touched upon the below topics:
1, Concept of organ donation and its types
2. Process of organ donation and transplantation
3. Myths and Facts about organ donation
4. Difference between tissues and organs
5. A video explaining brain stem death was displayed to the audience and the concept of brain stem death was explained.
6. MOHAN Foundation’s helpline was shared with the audience
The session was interactive and informative; around 152 teaching staff and students participated in the event. The students expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Prarthana and MOHAN Foundation for conducting a valuable session on organ donation.
