On April 7, 2024, Caring Souls, in collaboration with JCI Mormugao Port Town and North Goa District Hospital (Asilo Blood Bank), organized a blood donation camp at which Mr. Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador, MOHAN Foundation, set up an organ donation information desk.
The camp was held from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The parish pastoral council and other church groups informed parishioners beforehand to attend the camp in the church hall. Approximately 20 individuals attended the camp; 12 were eligible to donate, and 8 were rejected.
Mr. Gabriel displayed a brief animated presentation by Shweta Gupta on organ donation. He distributed approximately twenty-five FAQs and spoke to the donors about organ donation and why we needed to come forward to pledge.
