MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Babu Lal, Deputy Post Office General, Anna Road Head Post Office (HPO) Chennai to conduct an awareness talk during his retirement function on 30.05.2015.
Ms. Kavitha S, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation was deputed to address the gathering. There were totally 200 participants who attended the programme. The following topics were discussed during the talk.
1. Concepts of Organ Donation
2. Types of Donors
3. Organs that can be donated after natural and brain death
4. Importance of Donor Card, Statistics of organ donation for Tamilnadu
5. Toll free helpline number
6. Tamilnadu organ registry
7. Whole Body Donation
At the end of the programme, Mr. Babu Lal signed for whole body donation, witnessed by his daughter and son. The Whole body donation form was handed over by the Post Master General to him. Mr. Babu Lal thus left a lasting memory for his colleagues on his last day of work.
