Ms. Chandana, a representative of the Arogya Kendra Foundation in Khammam district of Telangana, requested MOHAN Foundation to organise some awareness activity during the wedding of her relative on 24th November 2021. The couple, Mr. Siddharth and Ms. Soumya wanted to pledge their organs on this occasion as well.
An awareness stall was put up at the reception venue and was managed by Dr. Bhanu Prakash, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation. He explained the concepts of organ donation and brain death to the stall visitors. He informed them of the option of signing up online as an organ donor on the Foundation’s website.
Around 100 people visited the stall and pledged as organ donors. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to Ms. Chandana for the opportunity and wishes the couple a happy future.
