MOHAN Foundation Conducts an Awareness Session on Organ Donation at MANAGE - National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management

  • MOHAN Foundation Hyderabad was invited by Dr. Anand Reddy, faculty member of MANAGE – National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for their employees on 30th November 2014.

     

    Dr. Koti Reddy clearly explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation. They were also shown public education films on the concept of brain death, THO Act and Myths on organ donation.

     

    There were about 120 students and faculty that were distributed donor cards and information brochures. They were also explained about the importance of CPR and about our unique program “Swamy Narayan Life Savers Program”. All the students participated in this program were also explained about spreading awareness among the youth and present it at several colleges. The students positively reacted to the idea and have promised to become our volunteers.

     

    We thank Mr. Bandla Srinivas, IAS, Director General, for his gracious presence at the awareness session and also the employees of MANAGE for their kind support in organizing the event for a noble cause.
