On 12th January 2020, MOHAN Foundation was invited to speak on organ donation and transplantation at Shri Laxmi Narayana Shiv Mandir in Nandanvan, Nagpur. Dr. Shantidas Lunge, doctor at the Ayurvedic Government Medical College, Nagpur organized the event and Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator from the Foundation was the speaker.
Dr. Lunge delivered the welcome address and introduced Mr. Behera to the audience. The program began by 1 PM and around 400 participants were present. Mr. Bulu Behera, in his talk, introduced MOHAN Foundation and explained about organ and tissue donation.
Mr. Behera presented in detail, a wide range of topics, including the Transplantation of Human Organs Act, listing the offences and penalties related to malpractices in organ donation.
