On the occasion of “Joy of Giving Week”, the Chennai office of CRISIL Ltd, invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an awareness programme on “Organ Donation & Blood Donation” for their staff on 8th Oct 2012. This initiative was a part of their CSR activity.
Twelve awareness sessions were conducted in 3 different places in Chennai: Egmore, T.Nagar and MRC Nagar. Ms. Kavitha, Transplant Coordinator explained about the importance of Blood Donation and the criteria for Blood Donors. Ms. Veena, Transplant Coordinator gave an oral presentation on organ donation, difference between Brain death and Coma, importance of donor card and shared few real life donor stories. A total of 123 staff pledged to donate their organs after death by picking up the Donor Card.
