On the occasion of Datta Swami Samarth Jayanti, MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness talk & stall at Swami Samartha temple, Binova Nagar, Nagpur on 4 December 2017. It was as a part of an event organized to improve awareness about Eye Donation and Organ Donation.
Mr. Bulu Behera explained the purpose, necessary importance, complex issue in deceased organ donation concept of death, cultural religious barriers, Transplant Act and importance of donor card.
There were about 60 devotees visited our stall. They were given information brochures. 10 visitors pledged to donate organs and picked their donor cards.
I thank Mr. Bhaskar Rao Gaikuade, Secretary of Swami Samartha temple for this kind support in organizing this awareness program and also thank to committee members for their support to this noble cause.
