• Smt. Jayashree Arvind  Kulkarni - 67 Years

  In the early hours of January 27, 2022, at around 4:30 AM, Ms. Jaya Jairam of MOHAN Foundation received a call from Ms. Vinaya Kulkarni, informing that her beloved mother-in-law, Late Smt. Jayashree Arvind Kulkarni, aged 67 years, was no more. She had woken up in the middle of the night, complaining of restlessness and breathing difficulties and all of a sudden she suffered a massive heart attack and passed away at 2:30 AM.
  
  Smt. Jayashree Kulkarni was a strong willed woman, who was very helpful by nature. She used to work at Canara Bank, up until her retirement. Thereafter, she kept herself fit with yoga and routine morning walks. Couple of years back she had attended a workshop on organ donation and whole body donation, after which she had desired to donate her whole body for medical research and studies. She had promptly signed up for the donor card and informed her family members about the same.
  
  So, on the morning of January 27, 2022, the Kulkarnis were in extreme shock; but they were quite keen to fulfil their loved one's wish.
  
  Ms. Jaya guided Ms. Vinaya about a few of the closeby hospitals and the process of whole body donation. Thereafter the Kulkarnis successfully donated Late Smt. Jayashree Kulkarni's whole body to K.E.M. Hospital, Parel (Mumbai).
