On the occasion of their 18th anniversary, the VOLTECH group of industries, Chennai invited MOHAN Foundation to deliver talk on Organ Donation to their employees on 31st October 2013. VOLTECH group industries provide services to many industries such as power, steel, Oil/Gas, Infrastructure and Cement.
An awareness talk was delivered by Ms. Kavitha. S. Marketing Manager, MOHAN Foundation. She focused on the following topics; what is Organ Donation, Difference between Cardiac death and Brain death, which organs can be donate and importance of Donor Card. 60 employees pledged their organs and all of them were awarded appreciation certificate by Mr. M. Umapathi Chairman and Managing Director, VOLTECH Group, Chennai.
A press meet was also organized, Voltech declared that they are interested in taking Organ Donation activities with MOHAN Foundation for their CSR activity. A large replica of the Donor Card was handed over by Dr. Hemal Kanvinde, Quality Assurance Officer, MOHAN Foundation, Chennai to Mr. M. Umapathi, Chairman and Managing Director, VOLTECH Group, Chennai as a token of future collaborations.
