MOHAN foundation was invited by the Prodapt solutions Pvt. Ltd. Located at Kandachavadi, Chennai to speak on organ donation to the employees of the organization. Mr. T.S. Siva Shankar Helpline executive of MOHAN foundation and Mr. Amal Antony (Intern student of Madras Medical Mission) were the resource persons. The session was conducted on their training hall on 22nd August 2018 at 5pm and 16 employees attended the session.
The session started by issuing green ribbons and information brochures to the participants. Mr. Siva Shankar started the session with a few questions to analyze their knowledge on organ donation. Later he explained why it is important to donate organs, the organs that can be donated at the stages such as while living, cardiac death and brain death. He also explained about the legal aspects related to organ donation.
The session was an interactive session. Numerous queries were raised by the employees of the corporate sector related to the organ donation. Mr. Siva Shankar took initiative in clearing their queries. At the end of the session a motivational video was being played related to organ donation. Finally, about 8 members of the Prodapt solutions took initiative in taking the donor cards.
