Public awareness session on organ donation for employees of Fiserv Inc. India, Noida

  • On 8th October, 2014, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation for the employees of Fiserv Inc. India at Fiserv office, Noida, Delhi-NCR.

     

    Fiserv Inc. is a global provider of financial services technology and serves more than 16,000 clients worldwide .It is one of the largest providers of information technology services to the financial services industry. The company is highly regarded for its financial services technology and services innovation, including award-winning solutions for mobile and online banking, payments, risk management, data analytic and core account processing.

     

    The session was organized through the initiative taken by Mr. Anup Pradasani. It was an informative and stimulating session where Ms. Pallavi explained the concept of organ donation, brain death, difference between cardiac death and brain death to all those present and a video clip explaining the concept of brain death was shown for better understanding of all those present. The transplantation law (THO Act) was also explained in detail and finally the session was concluded touching upon some myths and facts related to organ donation.

     

    The attendees were attentive throughout and asked thought provoking and intelligent questions that were answered effectively by Ms. Pallavi.

     

    The session was attended by 23 people and 27 donor cards were picked up.
