MOHAN Foundation in Nagpur put up a stall for organ donation awareness in the outpatient section of Government Medical College on 29th July 2019. The stall was equipped with standees, information brochures, donor cards, helpline stickers, etc.
The stall catered to the needs of patients and families visiting the OPD for treatment. Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation was at the stall to give information about the subject. He stressed on the importance of understanding brain death and organ donation. He also explained the types of death and process of eye donation. Importance of having donor cards and signing consent forms was explained. He gave information about MOHAN foundation activities and requested to use the MOHAN foundation website and helpline number.
About 30 people visited the stall and 4 people signed consent forms and received donor cards.
