MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation and transplantation at the Centre for DNA Finger Printing and Diagnostics (CDFD) in Inner ring road, Uppal, Hyderabad on 2nd September, 2021.
Dr. Bhanu Prakash of MOHAN Foundation spoke about importance of organ donation, explained brain death, organs and tissues that can be donated and the process of grief counselling after brain death declaration in hospitals.
Donor cards and information brochures were distributed at the end of the session.
Dr. K Thangaraj, Director of CDFD and Ms. Varsha, Science and Communications Manager came forward to pledge their organs along with 50 other employees of the organisation during the event.
