
A rally for organ donation awareness was organized at Indira Nagar in Nagpur on 14th January 2020.
Mrs. Babita Thool, Assistant Professor at Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya organized the rally to spread the message among the residents of Indira Nagar. The rally was organized following an awareness session for the students of the institute.
The rally began from Bodhisattva Buddha Vihar in Indira Nagar and ended at the same place, covering a distance of approximately 2 to 3 kilometers in 2 hours.
The rally was able to reach out to around 100 residents. 5 people signed consent forms for organ and donation and took donor cards. All the promotional material was made in association with MOHAN Foundation.
The following questions were asked by the residents:
1) Can organs be brought/sold?
2) Whom to contact for organ donation?
3) What is the time duration for eye donation?
