One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme, Hubli

Updated on Monday, March 25, 2019
  • We are happy to announce the “One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme” conducted by MOHAN Foundation in association with Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences under the aegis of Jeevasarthakathe.  This programme is from 8th – 12th April 2019 at Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hubli, Karnataka.

The success of organ donation and transplantation depends upon good counseling and coordination by transplant coordinators. The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made Transplant Coordinator nomination mandatory before a hospital is registered as a Transplant Centre. This means there is a huge requirement of Transplant Coordinators in close to 400 Transplant centres in the country.

In order to meet the growing demand for Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation has embarked upon training programmes to suit the needs of these health care professionals. We have conducted 61 training programmes in the country and trained 2162 transplant coordinators over the past nine years (December 2009 – March 2019).
