MOHAN Foundation conducts awareness talk at Regional Transport Office

  • MOHAN Foundation was invited by Regional Transport Officer, Anna Nagar, Chennai  for an awareness program on Organ Donation. It was for the people who were waiting to get their driving licence and learners licence registration. On 13th July 2018 at 11 AM. Mr. T.  S. Siva Shankar, Helpline Executive, MOHAN Foundation conducted the  session.

    Mr. Siva Shankar gave the information brochures at first to everyone and started explaining the need for  Organ Donation and reason why MOHAN Foundation is explaining about the noble cause in RTO’s. He then gave a brief introduction about the activities of MOHAN Foundation.

    Followed by the introduction he started the concepts of Organ Donation. He explained the following in a detailed way:

    1. Organs that can be donated
    2. Organs and its functions
    3. Transplant law
    4. Types of Donors
    5. Brain Death and Coma
    6. Myths on Organ Donation
    7. Age Criteria in Organ Donation
    8. Donor Card
    9. Helpline Number

    The session went on for 30 minutes. MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. Sridharan - Regional Transport Officer, Mr. Chezhiyan - Inspector, Mr.  Senthuravel – Inspector and Mrs. Priya – Superintendent of Transport Office for supporting this social cause among the public.
