  • On April 3, 2024, participants gathered for an enlightening session led by Mr. Devang Chhaya, a distinguished ambassador MOHAN Foundation. This session was conducted as part of the 'Certificate Course in Organ-Tissue Donation and Transplant Coordination & at Tirpude College of Social Work, Nagpur.

    Topic 1 : Basics and Fundamentals of Organ Donation, Date and Time: Wednesday, 3rd April, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PMSession Overview:

    The focus of this session was to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles underlying organ donation. Dr. Chhaya commenced the session by delineating the core concepts of organ donation, elucidating the key differences between living and deceased donation.     Continuing the discourse on Thursday, the 4th of April, Mr. Devang Chhaya returned to guide participants through the legal and ethical complexities inherent in organ transplantation.Drawing upon his vast expertise, Mr. Chhaya provided a detailed exposition of the Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1994, elucidating its provisions and implications for organ procurement, allocation, and transplantation processes. Through the analysis of compelling case studies, participants were challenged to confront intricate ethical dilemmas encountered in clinical practice, thereby fostering critical thinking and decision-making skills.
