MOHAN Foundation was invited by Airforce Academy, Hakkimpet, Medchal, Telangana for a public education on organ donation and its concepts on October 26, 2019 with Airforce academy crew and public. There were 40 participants for the awareness program.
Airforce academy did one camp based on making awareness on blood donation, organ donation and free eye checkups. So, they tried to motivate the public as well as their staffs. Dr. K S Raju, who is the Senior Medical Officer, Airforce academy, Hakkimpet, took this initiative and his sub-ordinates made it success.
Serving the public and social activism arethe two side of same coin, whichis helping others who is in need of.Airforce Army were already in the defense field to save the country.The session was started by Dr. Bhanu Prakash,with the concepts of organ donation and its importance for one hour. He was started with an introduction of MOHAN Foundation and the importance of organ donation, which carried out by interactive questions, discussions and clarifications. The audiences were very interactive and eagerto knowmore about this aspect and its procedure. Many of them having doubts and misconception about this field, but it was clarified by him. Almost we having40participants for the program and all were pledged the organ donation with our donor card.
Briefly, the session had gone smoothly and many of the audience got an idea about What is organ donation? Who can donate organs? Which are the types of organ donation? And so on. Participants were very much interested to promote about organ donation and they assured that they wouldmake the awareness within their family, friends circleand their environment.
