Awareness Session on Organ Donation at Nirmala Dhyana Sadan Athvelly, Medchal, Telangana

  • MOHAN Foundation was invited by Nirmala Dhyana Sadan Athvelly, Medchal, Telangana for a public education on organ donation and its concepts on October 13, 2019 with 100 nuns who belongs to Christian Congregation.

    Spirituality and social activism arethe two side of same coin, whichis helping others who is in need of. Nuns were already in the missionary field so, session was started by Dr. Bhanu Prakash, with a prayer and then he started with the concepts of organ donation and its importance for two hours. He was started with an introduction of MOHAN Foundation and the importance of organ donation, which carried out by interactive questions, discussions and clarifications. The audiences were very interactive and eagerto knowmore about this aspect and its procedure. Many of them having doubts and misconception about this field, but it was clarified by him. Almost we having100 participants for the program and all were pledged the organ donation with our donor card.

    Briefly, the session had gone smoothly and many of the audience got an idea about What is organ donation? Who can donate organs? Which are the types of organ donation? And so on. Participants were very much interested to promote about organ donation and they assured that they wouldmake the awareness within their family, friends circleand their environment. Moreover, the Nirmala Dhyana Sadan Athvelly, Medchalgave an auspicious hostility to MOHAN Foundation and they liked to continue, to work with us.
