  On 31^st January 2023, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the high school students in the Government Girls School at Bolarum in Hyderabad. Ms. Srividya S and Dr. Bhanu Prakash were the key resources.

  Dr. Bhanu Prakash started the session by asking a few introductory questions on organ donation and then introduced MOHAN Foundation to the participants and kept the audience engaged throughout the session. The following were discussed in detail:

  • Organ donation and its need in the society
  • When and how does organ donation take place
  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • Transplant waiting list in India
  • Brain death and clinical aspects of brain death
  • Difference between brain death and coma
  • Role of MOHAN Foundation
  • Eye donation

  Ms. Srividya S spoke about various ways in which students can be involved in spreading the message of organ donation. Close to 250 students were present in the session
