Social Work Student Organizes an Awareness Talk on Organ Donation for her Batch Mates

  • On17th August 2017, MOHAN Foundation went to Madras School of Social Work for conducting an awareness talk on organ donation for nearly 120 students of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). This was initiated by Ms. Salomi Benita of II year BSW.  The program started with a formal introduction. Dr. Hemal Kanvinde and Mr. Jayaprakash Daniel represented ODA team.

     

    Green ribbons and information brochures were distributed at the start of the program. Dr. Hemal introduced MOHAN Foundation and its activities followed by Organ Donation awareness talk by Mr. Jayaprakash Daniel. This presentation included topics such as why, what, when, how, types, myths on organ donation. Dr. Hemal informed the students of the transplant coordinators training program and the Angels of Change volunteer training program.

     

    Students supported this noble cause in which 100 came forward and took their donor cards.  MOHAN Foundation extends sincere thanks to Mrs. P. K. Vathani, Head – UG Department of Social Work for this opportunity. We appreciate and thank Ms. Salomi Benita of II year BSW for taking effort in arranging this program and promoting this cause among her peer group.
