On 16th November 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the secretary, Red Cross – Punjab, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their first aid students at Vivekanand Bhawan, Chandigarh. Around 20 students from various parts of Punjab, college students, patient care attendants and home nursing participated in the session.
Students were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Deepika Arora.
She explained the purpose, necessity and importance of organ donation, concept of brain death, difference between natural death and brain death, how to pledge for organ donation, myths related to organ donation.
The participants were very attentive during the session. Information brochures were distributed to all.
