  • The Rotary Club of Nagpur conducted a prestigious event 'THE NAGPUR ROTARY WALKATHON' on 7th January 2018. The objective of the event was to make people aware about the benefits of simple exercises like walking.

Mr. Manish Agrawal, of Rotary Club invited MOHAN Foundation to put up an organ donation awareness stall at Ramgiri Civil Line, Nagpur. This year saw the highest number of registrations. It was special since school children participated in the walk & took the message of Organ Donation to their parents.

Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation manned the stall. The stall was decorated with posters and banners as well as information brochures, pledge forms and donor cards.  He gave information to the visitors on how organ donation helps patients with end stage organ failure; the difference between Natural death and Brain death; types of organ donation; age criteria of organ donation. He also highlighted the work of ZTCC and MOHAN Foundation in organ donation and transplantation.

Several questions were asked by the people and Mr. Bulu clarified their doubts. 100 walkers visited the stall and 6 of them picked up donor cards. A few desired to organize talks in their Institutions.

MOHAN Foundation thanks the Rotary Club of Nagpur for their cooperation to spread the message of organ donation.
