Drivers learn about organ donation at Transport Office

  The Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur Mr. Sharad Jighkar invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 7th November 2017. This was for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.

   

  Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk, he explained for following points:-

  2. Who can donate organ

  3. Type of organ donation

  4. Brain Death Natural Death and Coma

  5. Myths related to Organ donation

  6. Deceased donation case in Nagpur

  7. Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur

  8. Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website

   

  It was a very interactive session. 20 drivers were present at the talk. 2 drivers signed consent form and took donor cards.

  The drivers asked the following questions:

  • Is there any financial support to donor family?
  • Will my family know who received my gift of life through organ donation?
  • What difference between natural death and brain death?
