  On 18^th May 2018, MOHAN Foundation Mumbai was invited by JEEVAN JYOT Hospital, Kamothe, Navi Mumbai to conduct an awareness talk on Organ Donation for all their staff members.

  Mrs. Jigisha Yadav began by asking the audience as to what came to their minds when they thought of organ donation. Most responded with positive comments.

  Mrs. Jigisha Yadav then introduced MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and history. The concept of organ donation was explained, types of death,  types of organs to be donated  after brain death  and tissues donation after cardiac death , the concept of brain death, difference between brain death and comma were all shared. She also discussed the various myths and facts for organ donation. Information about organ allocation, and distribution were also shared.  Lastly an inspirational 2 minute video was shown.

  There were around 20 staff members and many took the pledge. We thank Dr.Vaibhav for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
