• Dr. Subhendra Mohan Shrichandan Singh   - 90 Years

  
  On November 15, 2023, the acclaimed poet and recipient of the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award and Bal Sahitya Puraskar, Dr. Subhendra Mohan Shrichandan Singh, passed away. Honoring his father's last wish, Prof. Shiladitya donated Dr. Singh's corneas and whole body to GMCH-Nagpur. Dr. Singh, renowned for his contributions to children's literature, had previously pledged to donate his body to the Nagpur Government hospital, and his family, including wife Shakuntala and elder son Prof. Shiladitya Vikas Srichandan Singh, witnessed his final moments.
  
  Born on August 6, 1933, in Papsara village, Singh received prestigious literary awards, including the 'Bal Sahitya Puraskar.' Dr. Arun Kasote of GMCH Nagpur's Anatomy Dept. was present during the donation, and Dr. Satish, Dr. Himmatrao Meshram, and Dr. Sushil Meshram, along with Veena Wathore from MOHAN Foundation, paid their respects. The relatives present pledged to donate their organs and tissues, a tribute to Dr. Singh's noble decision. MOHAN Foundation extends deep condolences to the Singh family and expresses gratitude for their noble decision.
