  • On 31st January 2015, MOHAN Foundation conducted a sensitization meeting for the members of ProEngage, a Tata Sustainability Group Initiative. The aim of ProEngage is to strengthen the commitment of Tata Group towards making a positive contribution to the world communities and the environment.

MOHAN Foundation also conducted Peer Educators Program at various branches of Ravindra Bharti Schools to engage the students to promote organ donation. Ravindra Bharti School organized a Science Expo- Scientia 2014-15 and the students presented on eye donation and organ donation to their parents and visitors.

The school students and the volunteers of ProEngage were made aware about the importance of deceased organ donation, eye donation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death, religion and cultural barriers, myths surrounding organ donation. They were also explained on the role that ProEngage volunteers and school children can play in promoting organ donation among the general public.

This is a collaborative effort by MOHAN Foundation & Tata ProEngage to promote organ donation and hope that it would bring light to many lives of the patients suffering with organ failure through a lifesaving organ and will help in building an altruistic system of organ donation and transplantation in India.

We thank Mr. Vamshi Krishna, Ms. Bhargavi Priya and Ms. Rajana Anthony for taking this noble initiative and joining hands with MOHAN Foundation in promoting organ donation. We also thank Mrs. Sowjanya, Dean, Mr. Subramanyam, Chairman, and the faculty of Ravindra Bharti School on helping us in igniting the young minds on organ donation.
