  Dr. Ravi Wankhede is being felicitated

  On 28^th June, 2022, on the occasion of Social Peace Event, Dr. Tejinder Singh Rawal – Director of Indian Peace Center, Nagpur invited Dr. Ravi Wankhede and his team to conduct a session on organ donation.

  Dr. Ravi Wankhede was the chief guest of the program and speaker for the day.

  He addressed the gathering and started his presentation by introducing MOHAN Foundation. Thereafter, he gave a formal talk about organ donation and discussed the below topics in detail:

  1. What is organ donation? Who can donate organ?
  2. Age limit for organ donation. Types of organ donation.
  3. Types of death.
  4. In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
  5. In case of Brain death, which organs & tissues can be donated
  6. What are the legal aspects for organ donation?
  7. What are the myths related to organ donation?
  8. He gave information about the MF helpline number & donor card.

   

  Questions asked by participants

  • Does a kidney failure patient get any financial help from MOHAN Foundation?
  • Why organ donation is not possible in natural death?

   

  The talk motivated 10 of them to pledge their organs. Approximately 50 participants were present for the session.
