On 22nd April 2016, An Organ Donation Awareness Talk was presented on the sidelines of the Research Methodology Workshop, Department of Management, RTM Nagpur University. The audience, around 30 plus in number comprised of Lecturers, Asst Professors,Lawyers, People from private companies etc from Nagpur, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Akola, Yavatmal, Amravati, Chandrapur etc Everyone who were doing their Ph.Ds and part of the workshop were the participants. Prof Suryakumari Duggirala, HR-OB Faculty of MOHAN Foundation delivered the talk. It was interactive and several questions were answered.
Some of the questions that were asked:
1. Can we donate body for medical research?
2. How to get Donor Card?
3. What is MOHAN Foundation's role in Organ Donation?
4. Difference between Live donation and Deceased donation.
The participants were eager to know about the courses that were conducted by MOHAN Foundation and expressed lot of interest in knowing more about this cause, the role of transplant coordinators and the subjects they studied. They assured to look up MOHAN Foundation's website and also download the Donor Card. Prof Surya emphasized the importance of discussing with family members if they wanted to pledge their organs.
