On 27th March 2018, BJP member Mr. Guddu Jain invited MOHAN Foundation on the occasion of the birthday of Shri. Girish Ji. Vayash’s MLA of Nagpur zone, to speak on organ donation. The function was held at Srimati Asha Devi Vayash Sabha Gruha, Mahal, Nagpur.
MOHAN Foundation transplant coordinator Mr. Bulu Behera managed the stall with donor cards, brochures, banners and posters. Nagpur BJP members and workers gather in large numbers on such occasions.
Mr. Bulu Behera gave information on the work of MOHAN Foundation & importance of organ donation. He also explained: Type of organ donation; types of death; difference between coma and brain death; difference between Natural death & brain death. He also clarified the process of Eye donation & Body donation. He requested all to use website and helpline number.
Approximately 150 BJP party members were present. 20 of them signed the consent form and picked their donor cards.
