Mr. Babu Wankhede, a Yoga teacher at the Trimruti Nagar Yoga Foundation, requested Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation, to organize an awareness session on organ donation for the yoga foundation members. The event was organized on 18th and 19th October 2021 in the morning and Mr. Behera addressed two different group of people in the Trimurti Nagar Garden.
Mr. Bulu Behera began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission and vision, and proceeded to explain the following:
Mr. Behera also gave information about body donation and hand transplant. On 18th October, 18 people were present and 6 of them pledged to donate organs, signed consent forms, and took donor cards; on 19th October, 7 people out of the 19 present pledged for organ donation.
