On 22nd February 2018, the Foundation day of the Shree Shivam Foundation, Sitabuldi Fortune Mall, Nagpur, organized an Organ Donation awareness talk.
Mr. Harish Mantri Director of Shree Shivam Foundation Nagpur, invited Dr. Ravi Wankhede Director of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, to speak on the noble cause. He gave a comprehensive talk on organ donation.
The topics he covered were - Importance of organ donation to save another life; need for organ donation; Types of organ donations; Difference between coma & brain death; Organs and tissues that can be donated in different circumstances. He also explained the role of ZTCC for organ allocation & he requested the audience to use MOHAN Foundation website and helpline number to gather more information and clarify any doubts. 55 staff and public were present & 3 staff signed the consent form and took donor cards.
