On 11th March, Saturday, Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Cancer Care, Jaipur celebrated Women’s Day with the theme Power of Wings where Achievers from different fields were invited to share their views on Women empowerment. Ms Bhavna Jagwani shared her journey of Eye Donation and then Organ and Tissue donation and also the challenges as a woman and social worker in setting up the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan and later MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum, the organisation working for Organ Donation. On being asked the contribution of Women volunteers to the cause, Bhavna replied that women make up around 80% of the team contributing to the promotion of the cause. She appealed to the gathered audience of around 150 people, to pledge for organ donation. All the guests pledged their support for the cause.
