MOHAN Foundation participates in the Mega Health Camp organized by Vivekananda Seva Samithi & Bharath Vikas Parishad

  • MOHAN Foundation Hyderabad was invited by Mrs. Sujana Prabha and Mr. C. Rajeshwar Rao to participate in the Mega Health Camp, Blood Donation & Organ Donation Awareness Camp organized by Vivekananda Seva Samithi and Bharath Vikas Parishad on the eve of Swami Vivekananda’s 152nd Jayanthi Celebrations on 9th January, 2015.

     

    MOHAN Foundation was provided a stall to interact with the patients that require attention and were seeking information on organ transplantation. There were more that 50 patients that have requested for information on how to get an organ and also asked about the outcomes post transplantation.

     

    There were about 50 people that have come forward to pledge to donate organs and they were provided donor card and information brochures. There were school students of Vivekananda School that came forward to support organ donation and were given information brochures and were explained about the Indian scenario of organ donation. All the students were also explained about our “Peer Educator’s Program” where they can spread awareness among the youth and present it at several colleges. They were also told about “Swamy Narayan Life Savers Program” and they have positively reacted to the idea and have promised to get back to us.

     

    We thank all the organizers of Vivekananda Seva Samithi, Bharat Vikas Parishad, and the young students that have participated and for helping us in making awareness camp a success.
