On 8th September 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Commandant, Col. J.S Kanwar, 1Bn. Punjab NCC unit Amritsar, to conduct an awareness talk for their N.C.C cadets and J.C.Os at Shaheed Baba Jiwan Singh Khalsa College, Amritsar.
The Group of Cadets were from Amritsar (Punjab) colleges. Around 300 cadets and J.C.Os participated in the program. Audience were given an introduction by Mr. Sudhir Dewan and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Deepika Arora.
The main topics discussed during the programme were:
1. MOHAN Foundation activities
2. Difference between living donation & deceased donation
3. Importance and needs of organ donation
4. Brain death and its causes
5. Myths about Organ donation
6. Importance of Donor card
It was Indeed and amazing session with the cadets keen interest and Commandant Col. Jasbir Singh Kanwar is very supportive and passionate really very much interested to take the cause further as awareness on this noble cause and motivate the cadets and J.C.Os in a big way and promised that they will definitely work on this cause .
MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh team was presented with a memento by Commandant Officer.
