  • At a glittering function held on 8th March 2017, at the TNCA Club, Chennai, Dr. Sumana Navin, Course Director, MOHAN Foundation, received the Women’s Day Award, instituted by Inner Wheel Club Dist. 323.  Dr. Sumana Navin was one of the 13 recipients of the award.  While receiving the award from Celebrity Artiste, Mrs. Sneha Prasanna, Dr. (Mrs.) Navin thanked Inner Wheel Club for recognizing her effort of working in organ donation, a road “less travelled”. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Dr. Sumana advocated that everyone in the audience should “Donate Organs and Save Lives”.

Dr. Sumana Navin started her work with MOHAN Foundation way back in 1998 as a volunteer.  At a time when organ donation was considered a taboo, she took the bold step of advocating for organ donation diligently. As a Course Director, she has trained over 1450 transplant coordinators spread across India and Bangladesh. Her affable demeanor, professionalism and attention to detail has made her one of the most important team members of MOHAN Foundation.

We congratulate Dr. Sumana Navin on this honor and wish that more comes her way.
