On 30th July 2019, Prof Pradhan, the NSS Head at Western College of Commerce, Sanpada invited Mrs. Jaya Jairam for the third consecutive year, for spreading awareness on organ donation, to its NSS students.
Around 100 NSS students attended the awareness workshop, wherein they were explained the concepts of organ donation, brain death, circulatory death and organs and tissues that can be donated.
They were motivated to have a discussion at home about organ donation. 50 of them took the pledge and many others vowed to sign up for the donor card next year as they were yet underaged.
