On the occasion of Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, 14th April 2014, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Kast Dip, Director, India Peace Centre to give a talk on Deceased Organ Donation. Mr. Bulu Behera & Miss. Kanchan Shewde Transplant Co-ordinator represented MOHAN Foundation. The session was conducted at their campus in civil lines and 15 members attended.
Mr. Bulu Behera gave a talk on the concepts of organ donation. He highlighted organ and tissues that can be donated after Brain death, natural death and while living. He explained the concept of Brain death and that if the brain death patient’s family wants to donate their organs then they can help several people.
Mr. Bulu Behera gave information about organ donation helpline number of MOHAN Foundation, training programs and other activities. He requested all to use MOHAN Foundation website.
