  • MOHAN Foundation’s Mrs. Jaya Jairam invited as chief guest for spreading awareness on organ donation, as part of Independence Day celebrations on 15th August 2019 at Ashok Gardens, Parel, Mumbai

Mrs. Jaya Jairam was invited by Capt. Prakash Correa, a member of the Ashok Gardens residential complex at Parel, as the Chief Guest during the Independence Day celebrations.

Mrs. Jaya Jairam had the honour of unfurling the national flag, after which everyone present sang the national anthem.  She then addressed the audience present and explained to them the importance of organ donation awareness, why it was the need of the hour and how it had the magical power of saving and healing many lives.

She quoted Sir Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give” and appealed to all to do their bit by supporting the cause of organ donation. She went on to appreciate the efforts taken by Capt. Prakash Correa, a kidney transplant recipient himself, and highlighted how he has been doing his bit to spread awareness amongst the naval officers and crew.

MOHAN Foundation is grateful to Capt. Prakash Correa and the members of Ashok Gardens for joining hands and working for the hitherto neglected cause.
