MOHAN Foundation creates awareness on organ donation for nurses of SPOT Hospital

  • MOHAN Foundation got the second invitation to conduct organ donation awareness program for the nurses of SPOT Hospital (Subbarayan Parimala Centre for Orthopedics and Traumatology) on 23rd June 2018 at 2:30 PM. Mr. T. S. Siva Shankar, Helpline Executive MOHAN Foundation was deputed for the session.

    Mr. Siva Shankar started the session with the activities of MOHAN Foundation and the need for Organ Donation. He further explained the following in detail:

    1. The organs and its functions
    2. The organs that can be donated at the stage of death and while living
    3. Brain Death and its causes
    4. Age criteria for Organ Donation
    5. Myths on Organ Donation
    6. Donor card, Helpline Number, Training Program 

    The session went on for half an hour and was attended by 10 nurses from the hospital, 5 took their donor cards. MOHAN Foundation thanks Ms. Sujatha Ramesh Babu for organizing the talk.
