MOHAN Foundation was invited on October 29, 2014, to conduct an organ donation awareness session by Ms. Yashashwini and family members of Sri. Bonda Uma Maheswar Rao, MLA, Vijayawada, at the commemorative program of Ms. Priyanka, who passed away battling cancer. All the family members, relatives, friends of Ms. Priyanka and students of Siddhartha Pharmacy College attended the program.
Ms. Shanti spoke about the importance of organ donation and clearly explained about the concept of brain death, myths about organ donation, THO Act and activities of MOHAN Foundation. There were about 30 participants that have pledged to donate organs and all of them were distributed Donor Cards, Family Donor Cards, and Information Brochures.
We thank Ms. Yashashwini and family members of Sri. Bonda Uma Maheswar Rao garu for organizing such an event for a noble cause commemorating Ms. Priyanka. May her soul rest in peace.
