MOHAN Foundation conducts Awareness Talk on Organ Donation at State Level Workshop organised by Youth Red Cross Wing, Karnal

  • MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness program on organ donation on 21st February 2018 at 10:00 am at the State Level Workshop by Youth Red Cross Wing at Dayal Singh College, Karnal.

    Dr. Mukesh Aggarwal, Vice Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana was the Chief Guest for the State level workshop on Organ donation. Mr. Sudhir Dewan was the Guest of Honour.

    Dr. KL Gosian, Principal of Dayal Singh College gave a warm welcome to everyone during the lamp lighting ceremony.

    Principals, professors and students from various colleges of Haryana attended the workshop. Over 350 students attended the State level workshop.

    Mr. Sudhir Dewan addressed the audience telling them the importance of organ donation and how it provides a great opportunity in everyone’s life when they come forward and pledge to donate their organs. This act can save lives.

    Ms. Aakriti Negi gave the status of organ donation in India and the people who died waiting for organ transplant. She then spoke on when organ transplant is needed and what is organ donation. She explained about living donation and deceased donation and which organ can be donated after death.

    The audience was pleased and appreciated MOHAN Foundation's work on organ donation in India and the increased donation rates in Chandigarh tricity.

    The entire audience got motivated and convinced to support organ donation. The audience applauded in the end for the efforts taken by MOHAN Foundation.

    It was a great workshop and the audience came forward to engage by motivating others.
