MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Satish Kumar of Vijayawada Machinery Merchants Association to conduct organ donation awareness session at their meeting on August 15, 2015 as a part of Independence Day Celebrations.
Ms. Shanti explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation. There were more than 50 participants that were distributed donor cards and information brochures.
We thank Mr. Satish Kumar of Vijayawada Machinery Merchants Association and other members for their kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank all the participants for their support to this noble cause.
