Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Office, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 9 February 2018. Drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license were the audience for the talk.
Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained for following points:
v What is Organ Donation and the Transplant Law in India
v Type of organ and tissue donation
v Brain Death, Natural Death and Coma.
v Myths related to Organ donation.
v Deceased donation cases in Nagpur.
v Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur.
v Importance of MOHAN Foundation’s Donor card, Helpline number and website.
It was a very interactive session. 25 drivers were present at the talk. 2 drivers signed consent form and took donor cards.
