DATRI - an ngo that's helps patients to benefit from stem cell donation invited MOHAN Foundation to speak about its activities on 11 July 2015. The event was a part of their annual meeting and was held in their new premises in Taramani.
There were around 25 counsellors and other office staff of DATRI present during the talk. Dr Hemal Kanvinde, Q & A Officer of MOHAN Foundation conducted the session. She gave a short introductory talk on the concepts of Organ Donation and Brain Death. It was followed by discussion on organ allocation, counselling skills, training programs, the Laws and Government orders and minimum medical profile of the donor. The participants were requested to use the website and call the tollfree line to get answers to more queries.
15 members of DATRI picked donor cards. Ms Sethukarasi of DATRI was instrumental in organising this interaction.
